Delete your Brainamine account

1. Email hello@brainamine.app with the subject "Delete my account".
2. Send the email from the address your Brainamine account is registered with, or include that address in the message so we can verify the request.
3. We confirm the request and delete the account within one month of receiving it. If a request is complex, we may extend this by up to two further months; we tell you so, with our reasons, within the first month. If we cannot establish that the request comes from the address of your account, we ask you to confirm it from that address – never for an identity document.

• Your account (name, email address, sign-in identifiers)
• Learning material you uploaded and the study content generated from it
• Your learning progress, streaks, badges, and app activity
• Push notification tokens and reminder settings

What we keep after a deletion is either required by law – for example invoicing records connected to paid subscriptions (Austrian tax law) – or kept for a specific, documented reason: a short record of the request (three years after we complete it) and, if your account's age result was ever corrected, the record of that correction (up to 7 years; see section 12 of our Privacy Policy). Neither of these two is a legal requirement; they are our own proportionate choices under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, which you can object to. Retained records are not used for any other purpose.

Our AI provider deletes what it processed for us within 30 days, or keeps it longer where that is needed to enforce its usage policy or where the law requires it – see section 4 of our Privacy Policy.

You can delete individual study material yourself at any time: open the material and choose Delete material. For any other partial deletion – including resetting your learning progress, or material the app does not let you delete yourself – email hello@brainamine.app with "Privacy request" in the subject line, and, if it concerns a specific material, name it as it appears in the app. The same one-month deadline applies to that request.
